Once upon a time...
Raised in San Diego, Richard moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA. He majored in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He later developed his comedy writing and improv skills at The Groundlings school.
Richard has produced stand-up comedy shows, written for magazines, websites, and TV programs, launched and edited multiple content websites, and provided copy for movie posters, greeting cards, and press kits.
He published his first book in 2004, and his newest novel, Battle at the Comic Expo, came out in May 2018.
Currently, he is the Director of Program Marketing at Crackle and Chicken Soup for the Soul streaming. You can learn more on his LinkedIn page.
In his spare time, Richard runs away with the circus, teaching aerial arts at Cirque School in Los Angeles.
