Dear Community Partner:
For the past several years, MondoHomo – the South’s only not-for-profit Queer arts and music festival – has hosted groundbreaking entertainment here in Atlanta. Our mission is to create a fun, Queer-centric celebration that contributes to social justice, art, and culture – and showcases both nationally recognized acts and beloved local talent.
As our festival has grown, we have received national and local attention from publications such as SouthernVoice, David, GO! Magazine, Creative Loafing, and many more. We have garnered attention from queer music and event bloggers across the US. We have attracted a growing number of attendees — 1300+ over the course of the event and 50-75 performers annually!
Our success is indebted to a strong partnership with our community. We are a grassroots-organized, DIY festival with strong, committed volunteers. To make MondoHomo a reality each year, we depend on our partnership with local non-profits, volunteers, community members, and local business owners.
The 2012 Festival will expand on the success of past years and bring another stellar line-up of performers – including queer rock bands, spoken word, hip-hop, DJs, burlesque, boylesque, drag, arts, crafts, film, and more!
We’d like to personally invite your support with a donation. You get not only that great feeling of doing a good thing and supporting your community – but also some tangible benefits, including logo promotion, event access, program book advertising, and more – a reach of at least 1500 attendees.
